The practice audiogramAn SEO audit for independent audiology practices

The unaided test: where the practice can be found, where it cannot, and the order to fix it in.

The problem

Most practices that ask for help with search already have a theory about what is wrong. It is usually the wrong theory, because the evidence that would test it has never been gathered in one place.

Measure before you treat

Nobody fits a device without a test, and nobody should commit a year of marketing budget without one either. The audit is the unaided result: where the practice can be found today, where it cannot, and why. Everything recommended afterwards is argued from it, so it has to be done properly the first time.

What gets measured

  • Visibility across each catchment, sampled on a geo-grid for the searches that book appointments, rather than one ranking checked from the front desk
  • Demand for every service line you deliver, sized for your area rather than nationally
  • Who currently takes those searches, line by line, and whether it is another practice, a retail chain or a directory
  • The site: what is indexed, how fast it loads on a mid-range phone, its structured data, and whether a seventy-year-old can read it and call
  • Google Business Profile, listings and reviews, including duplicate profiles and clinicians who left years ago

Keyword research for one catchment

National search volumes are close to useless for a practice. What matters is whether people within twenty minutes of your door search for tinnitus help, balance testing or ear wax removal, and how contested those searches are locally. The demand map answers that for every line you offer and marks the ones worth a page.

Competitor analysis that names names

For each line we record who ranks and why they rank: the chain with the national domain, the ENT group with the referral network, the independent across town with years of reviews. Some are beatable in a quarter and some are not beatable at all. Knowing which is most of the strategy.

What you receive

A written report with the judgement at the front and the evidence underneath: the geo-grid scans, the demand map, the competitor table and a build order. The build order is the valuable part — what to do first, what can wait, and what to leave alone because it would not pay back.

The audit is not a sales document with findings attached. If the right answer is that you do not need us, it says so.

Questions about this piece

What does it cost?

$1,500, credited in full against the first month if you continue. It is a complete deliverable either way: you keep the scans, the demand map, the competitor table and the build order.

What do you need from us?

View access to your Google Business Profile, and to Search Console and analytics if you have them, plus about an hour of the owner's time. We do not need patient data of any kind.

What happens after it?

We walk through the findings on a call rather than emailing a file. If you continue, the build order becomes the first ninety days. If you do not, it is yours to hand to anyone.
